Make Google Internet Explorer's Primary Search Engine
When you want to search for something on the Internet, you'd normally navigate to a search engine using Internet Explorer. But you can also just type your query into Internet Explorer's Address bar, and press the Enter key.




By default, Internet Explorer will use Microsoft's MSN search engine to execute your search. Since Google is the favorite search engine of many people, here is how to change Internet Explorer's preference from MSN to Google:

Start the Registry Editor
Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Software \ Microsoft \ Internet Explorer \ Main
Double-click the Search Page value, and in the Value data box enter http://www.google.com (overwriting the existing entry)
Select Select New > String Value from the Edit menu
Name the new value Search Bar
Double-click the Search Bar value, and in the Value data box enter http://www.google.com/ie
Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Software \ Microsoft \ Internet Explorer \ SearchURL
Double-click the (Default) value, and in the Value data box enter http://www.google.com/keyword/%s
Select the key HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Software \ Microsoft \ Internet Explorer
Select New > Key from the Edit menu
Name the new key Search
With the Search key selected, Select Select New > String Value from the Edit menu
Name the new value SearchAssistant
Double-click the SearchAssistant value, and in the Value data box enter http://www.google.com/ie
Close the registry editor

自訂Internet Explorer 網上搜索器
 

當按 Internet Explorer 的〔搜尋〕圖示時自動接上預設的搜索器
例：Google 搜索引擎

在〔開始〕→〔執行〕→鍵入〔gpedit.msc〕→選〔使用者設定〕→選〔Windows設定〕
→〔Internet Explorer 維護〕→〔URLs〕→打開〔重要URL〕→在〔搜尋列URL〕
→選〔自訂搜尋列URL〕→在對下空白列上填上
http://www.google.com/intl/zh-TW/
→選〔自訂首頁URL〕→在對下空白列上填上
http://www.pchome.com.tw/

設定後當按〔搜尋〕圖示時在左邊窗口便接到 Google 搜索引擎的搜索網址
