以下是Heaton和Potti在98和XP下的滑鼠速度對比，僅供參考：

說是解決方法，其實還是不能完全改到和98一樣的效果，不過改了總比不改強。：）

XP現在越來越流行了，國外的CS比賽基本上都是用的XP，所以很多國外高手很早以前就開始適應在XP下的滑鼠了。

以下提供一些比較一般的方法給大家參考。

1。修改註冊表
執行Regedit HKEY_CURRENT_USER -> Control Panel -> Mouse folder。將SmoothMouseXCurve的數值改為：

重新啟動

這是CPL的比賽裡允許修改的註冊表數值，改動過後效果並不太明顯，甚至會讓你覺得滑鼠更遲鈍了。改動後適當的調高你的滑鼠速度可能會好些。

提醒：在你改動註冊表之前，請一定要作好制作備份，免的後悔！！

2。關閉XP預設的加速度
在XP裡滑鼠預設是有加速度的，關閉方法如下：
開啟控制台，選項「滑鼠」，選項「指針選項」，將「提高指針精確度」前面的勾去掉。


3。保險起見

在CS的快捷方式裡，在加控制台的位置加入-noforcemaccel -noforcemparms -noforcemspd（如圖）

XP和98的滑鼠有一定的差別，大家也許只有通過自己反覆的偵錯才能找到比較滿意的速度值。

Many gamers have had problems with their Logitech MX300, MX500, and MX700 not working fully when playing games such as Counterstrike and Quake 3. While I believe this new series of mice are the best mice out, their current offering of drivers dont keep up. Here is the all-inclusive sure fire fix to this problem. Only tested on MX500, should work on MX300 and MX70. This fixes negative acceleration (or some people say the mouse not being able to keep up if moved quickly), 800dpi resoultion, weird sensitivity, as well as the wheel,4,5,6,7 mouse buttons being recognized in-game.

The only downfall to this fix is that the quickswitch button (your 8th button) will not function. The wheel works, the quick scroll up button is like rolling the wheel once up, and quick scroll down is like rolling the wheel once down. This is tested using an MX500 hooked up to a PS/2 port using Win2k SP3.

1) Download the Mouseware 9.73 drivers ' mw973enu.exe ' (if you cnanot find the website, use the ones shipped with your MX500 driver CD).

2) Extract ' mw973enu.exe ' to a temporary directory.

3) Uninstall any previous mouseware drivers by simply add/remove programs of Logitech Mouseware. There is no need to dig in the registry to uninstall anything.

4) Reboot (If asked to install mouse drivers, click cancel or go directly to display list of... -> Have Disk =>> step 6)

5) Start -> Settings -> (Control Panel) -> (System) -> [HardWare] ->
|Device Manager| + Mice and other pointing devices |_ Right+click -PS2 Mouse- and click on -properties- -> [Driver] -> |Update Driver| -> |Next| -> (*)Check Display a list of known.... -> |Next| -> |Have Disk| -> Browse to the directory you extracted the ' mw973enu.exe ' Mouseware drivers file to.

6) Use the following list to choose the correct .inf file for your current setup:

WinXP PS2 - LMPs2XP.inf
WinXP USB - LMUsbXP.inf
Win2k SP3 PS2- LMOUSE.inf
Win2k SP3 USB - LMOUUSB2.inf

*Each of these files are located in either the Win2000 or WinXP subfolders of your extraced ' mw973enu.exe 'folder

Click OK on your selected file.

7) A list will show up showing IBM and Logitech brand mice. Click on Logitech and scroll down until your see your mouse.
*If you use a USB mouse, click the MX500 optical. If a PS/2 mouse, scroll further down until your see MX500 PS/2
Click OK and Next to complete installation.
*If asked if its ok to install drivers that Windows cannot verify work with your hardware, click OK

8) Reboot (On startup, your mouse should be working fine with no driver issues. If not, try it again making sure you have chosen the correct .inf file)

***At this point, I'm going to make it quick. If you dont know what I'm talking about, you shouldn't go on until you find someone who knows what they're talking about***

9) Open regedit. Change the following value's data in CurrentControlSet, CurrentControlSet001, and CurrentControlSet002 (and any more CurrentControlSet0xx you may have):

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\lmouflt2\Parameters\OpticalMouse12\0000

MouseSpeedX = 100
MouseSpeedY = 100
Acceleration = Off
Resolution = 8

*You should not have to add any values

1 Close and reboot. After this, you should go into the Control Panel Mouse properties, set your refresh to 100 (or 200 with PS/2 Rate if you have the special Win2k version) and set your sensitivity.

我就大概譯一下吧，以winxp為例：
下載9.73驅動，然後用滑鼠指著下載的文件按右鍵解壓文件到一個資料夾（要先裝了winzip或winrar）。如果以前已經裝了羅技驅動就先卸載、重啟。選控制台——系統——硬體——裝置管理員——展開滑鼠項指著滑鼠按右鍵——更新驅動程式——從列表或指定位置安裝——不要搜尋。我要自己選項要安裝的驅動程式——從磁牒安裝——選項你剛才解壓的資料夾，在裡面找到你相應的驅動文件（PS2接頭選LMPs2XP.inf usb接頭選LMUsbXP.inf）確定後去掉顯示相容硬體前面的鉤，在羅技系列裡面選項你所擁有的滑鼠。安裝後重啟。開啟註冊表找到HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\lmouflt2\Parameters\OpticalMouse12\0000修改
MouseSpeedX = 100
MouseSpeedY = 100
Acceleration = Off
Resolution = 8
CurrentControlSet001、CurrentControlSet002或CurrentControlSet0xx裡面的相應值也要改，改完重啟就完成了。

優化MX500(同樣適用於MX3
有一天，我買了一隻MX500滑鼠，儘管我有一隻MSIE3.0的。我知道有很多人在抱怨MX500驅動的問題,我認為我已經找到了某種方法讓它能很好的工作。經過一番研究，我能讓MX500在不使用logitech自帶的驅動程式的情況下工作，但是要使用800DPI,而且根本沒有滑鼠加速（你需要安裝一個驅動程式，並且編輯註冊表）。
我在www.clanwat.com上找到一個手冊。我做了些改動，因為這個手冊基本上是寫給使用Q3引擎的遊戲，使用老的驅動程式，使用PS2接頭等等。我改動過後的手冊，同樣適用於MX300.

請看：
1）下載Mouseware9.75驅動程式mw975enu.exe(http://www.logitech.com).
2) 展開mw975enu.exe到一個臨時目錄（譯者註：不要直接雙按執行）。使用winzip或winrar軟體，右鍵按擊這個文件，選項『展開文件』（譯者：具體怎麼做不用說了吧，地球人都知道阿）
3）卸載以前所裝的任何版本的Logitech Mouseware驅動程式(譯者：本人沒用過。應該是在控制面版裡選項刪除Logitech Mouseware).你沒有必要到註冊表裡做這種事情。
4）重新啟動機器。如果系統問你是否安裝滑鼠驅動程式，點擊『取消』；或者進入『顯示所有驅動程式』，點擊'從磁牒安裝',然後到第6步
5）開始功能表-〉設置-〉控制台-〉系統-〉硬體-〉裝置管理員
找到『滑鼠和其他指針設備』，展看，右擊選項『屬性內容』或者雙按，點擊『驅動程式』裡『更新驅動程式』按鈕，下一步，選上『顯示所有設備驅動程式列表，從中選項特定驅動程式』，下一步，點擊'從磁牒安裝'
6）指定目錄到你展開mw975enu.exe的臨時目錄，點擊ok
7）在彈出的列表裡會顯示牌子是IBM和Logitech的滑鼠，選項Logitech,在右邊的滾動框裡找到你的滑鼠型號
*如果你使用USB接頭的滑鼠，選項 MX3/500 optical
*如果你使用PS/2接頭的滑鼠，選項 MX3/500 PS/2
點擊Ok,下一步，最後完成安裝
註：對USB接頭的滑鼠，你看到的可能是：HID-compliant MX500 Optical Mouse 或者 HID-compliant MX300 Optical Mouse, 如果你使用這樣的滑鼠
8）重新啟動。啟動過後，你的滑鼠應該能用，如果不能，請重複以上步驟,務必確信你選項了正確的.inf文件。
點擊控制台裡『滑鼠』，它能顯示正常的驅動了。現在可以關掉加速並且設置正確的速度值了。（譯者註：本人沒用過這類驅動，所以這裡翻譯的不是很清楚。無論怎樣，現在你在這裡應該能做你想做的事情）
9)開啟註冊表（譯者註：指令行中輸入regedit)。作如下改動
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\lmouflt2\Parameters\OpticalMouse12\0000 (如果你用的是MX300，就應該是OpticalMouse11)

MouseSpeedX 設成 50
MouseSpeedY 設成 50
Acceleration 設成 Off
Resolution 設成 8

注意：如果在HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\下還有CurrentControlSet001，CurrentControlSet002等等，一定要把這些'目錄'相應下面的值都改掉。
你不需要增加額外的鍵值。在這裡，解析率（解析度？）設成800，速度設成了預設的中速。

Okay well the other day I bought an MX500 after having an MSIE3.0, and I knew a lot of people were complaining about drivers etc. but I figured I'd find some way to make it ok. Anyway after a bit of searching I've got the MX500 running without the Logitech Control Panel sort of drivers, but with 800 DPI (you have to edit regedit stuff, and have the drivers installed for this usually), no acceleration at all etc. etc.

I found a guide on www.clanwat.com and I've edited the guide for you guys because it was based a lot on Q3 engine games, the older drivers, PS2 (I know most people use USB so,) etc. This will also work for the MX300.

So here it is:

1) Download the Mouseware 9.75 drivers mw975enu.exe (http://www.logitech.com).

2) Extract ' mw975enu.exe ' to a temporary directory. Winzip and WinRAR can do this by right clicking the .exe icon and click Extract files.. for WinRAR and Winzip - Extract to for Winzip.

3) Uninstall any previous mouseware drivers by simply add/remove programs of Logitech Mouseware. There is no need to dig in the registry to uninstall anything.

4) Reboot (If asked to install mouse drivers, click cancel or go directly to display list of... - Have Disk then step 6)

5) Start - Settings - (Control Panel) - (System) - [HardWare] -
|Device Manager| + Mice and other pointing devices |_ Right+click the mouse is has there (most likely HID-compliant something or rather) and click on -properties- - [Driver] - |Update Driver| - |Next| - (*)Check Display a list of known.... - |Next| - |Have Disk| - Browse to the directory you extracted the ' mw975enu.exe ' Mouseware drivers file to and click ok.

For USB it should be something like:

HID-compliant MX500 Optical Mouse
or MX300 if you have that.

8) Reboot (On startup, your mouse should be working fine with no driver issues. If not, try it again making sure you have chosen the correct .inf file)

You will notice Control Panel - Mouse isnt the usual bad Logitech drivers. Now to turn off Acceleration and set the correct speed.

9) Open regedit. Change the following value's data in CurrentControlSet, CurrentControlSet001, and CurrentControlSet002 (and any more CurrentControlSet0xx you may have):

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\lmouflt2\Parameters\OpticalMouse12\0000 (if you have a MX300 it will be OpticalMouse11)

MouseSpeedX = 50
MouseSpeedY = 50
Acceleration = Off
Resolution = 8

*You should not have to add any values. Resolution sets 800 DPI, and the Speeds are set default/medium.

廣大的FPS愛好者都知道，如果在WinXP中進行FPS遊戲，滑鼠加速度不可完全關閉是限制技術發揮的致命傷，就連Win2000中如果不手動關閉滑鼠加速選項也是很難發揮出自己應有的技術水準。

使用Logitech滑鼠的用戶可能也都發現了，在最近的MouseWare 9.76版中增加了一個可以關閉滑鼠加速的選項。但是，令人不解的是這個功能似乎沒有作用，令大家十分失望。

今天Logitech發佈了一款MouseWare Advanced Utility的進階控制台，它能使用在MouseWare9.76及以上版本的驅動中。據我們試用，它能有效的解決MouseWare 9.76中增加的關閉滑鼠加速的選項不可用的問題。



只要選「Enable game detection」選項就能使MouseWare 9.76中的「在遊戲中禁用加速度」選項產生作用。這個控制台除了這個功能還有「保持滑鼠速度」、「保持滑鼠加速度」等諸多的功能，你可以逐個去試用和發現。

我們就發現了這個工具另外的一個功能，就是只要選「Enable game detection」選項，那麼在CS中不論你怎麼樣切換回桌面，再次回到遊戲中的時候還是會有聲音的。怎麼樣這個功能是不是夠吸引人，快下載吧。
