微軟已經開放Vista Beta 2下載，越來越多普通PC用戶開始想要嘗試一下微軟新一代操作系統，不過，在下載、安裝Windows Vista Beta 2之前，有4點注意事項你必須考慮。
1.你需要擁有一台DVD燒錄機
如果你沒有一台DVD-RW燒錄機，你下載Vista Beta 2安裝文件的九個小時將完全浪費－－無法燒錄DVD安裝盤，即無法安裝。
你也可以選擇從微軟郵購Windows Vista Beta 2安裝DVD，微軟只收「成本價」10美元，4美元郵費，2至4周內寄達。
2.Windows Vista Beta 2死期
如果微軟不再次推遲Vista正式版發佈，Windows Vista Beta 2將在2007年1月達到生命終點－－雖然微軟並未明確透露屆時你的Vista Beta 2系統會有何種反應，但是，你不要指望將免費版Vista進行到底
3.Vista安裝容易變心難
一旦你安裝了Windows Vista，降級回「老版本」Windows將十分麻煩。
「一旦你安裝了Windows Vista Beta 2，你將無法恢復以前的操作系統安裝。安裝Vista B2後，你有兩個選擇：安裝最終版Vista，重新安裝老版本Windows。」微軟表示。
「在你安裝Windows Vista Beta 2前，請記得備份所有資料和文件。」
即便是最終版Windows Vista發佈，你也無法進行「升級安裝」，微軟只允許你再次「完全安裝」－－當然，你還要考慮到購買Vista的費用。
4.Bug依舊等著你
鑒於Windows Vista Beta 2依舊是測試版本，因此存在各式各樣的Bug「理所應當」，也許你不得不為折騰Outlook 2003搞得焦頭爛額。
「在你決定安裝Windows Vista Beta 2前，請確認你不會對安裝操作系統、升級驅動、解決各種軟件問題而感到頭疼。」微軟表示，「安裝測試版操作系統的風險同時存在於軟件以及硬體。」
如果你能完成/克服以上所有問題，你也許可以馬上開始你的Vista之旅了。

注意：根據目前測試，絕大多數Java基礎的Windows軟件無法使用Aero Glass特效－－雖然只是暫時性問題。相信Vista相容版Java執行環境推出後將解決這一問題。

I installed NGO Creative Modded Driver for SB Live! and Audigy (ngocmd.exe). Sounds bad until I changed the
default sound quality from 16bit to 24bit 48000hz.

Network Cards
* Broadcom NetXtreme Gigabit Ethernet (doesn't work)
* Buffalo High Power 802.11g Wireless PCMCIA Card - Installs with alternate driver, but refuses to see
networks or connect.
* Fritz!Card DSL - ISDN works ok
* Intel Pro/1000 MT Mobile Adapter - Connects and pings, but refuses to browse the net in IE7, Firefox
* Linksys NC100 - Is not recognized, WinXP drivers DO NOT work
* Netgear USB WG111 - No built-in support, and WinXP drivers don't work either
* D-link DWL-G520 - Vista recognizes it as some other brand and if allowed to installs drivers for that!!!
(Which doesn't help)

* Terratec SixPack 5.1 (based on Crystal SoundFusion CS461x) (32 Bit)
* Terratec Aureon Space 7.1 - No sound, unable to set the format on the controller, whice solved the problem
for the VIA Envy24 driver. The VIA Envy24 driver isn't working on either Vista or XP, even throug the card is
build on this chip.
* Terratec Aureon Universe 7.1 - Heavy routing problems. Only the "Mic" and "LineIn Front" signal make it to
the speakers. (32 Bit & 64 bit)
