PASSOLO Application

The new features:

- Simulated translations can now be written to a new target language and stored permanently in the project.
- New command line option "/profilefolder=" to store all options and settings in a folder.
- Individual translation lists can be deleted from the project, if they are not needed.

Enhancements:

- The context menu of folders in the project tree has command "Show Sub Folders" to display also string lists from sub folders.
- The simulation of translations has additional options.
- The folder display in the dialog File/Properties can be clicked to open the folder in Windows Explorer.
- The alignment has the option to read only the text or coordinates. And it's possible to align the selected strings only.
- New option "Remove access key" for "Reset Data" command.
- Options for a resource parser can be edited. There's a new link "options" beside the resource parser line in the resource options window.
- Automation: New value pslPropMatchRate for PslTransString.Property
- Moving the scroll bar in the text list could result in unconditional jumps.

Changes:

- The position of the vertical divider in the property list of a text is not in the middle, but it's calculated from the length of the property names.
- The function "Replace" sets the status of translated texts to "for review", if the option "Validate strings when edited" is not set.

Bug fixes:

- Some bugs in batch mode have been fixed.
- Automatic translation and replicates: No more insertion of ampersands if the file format does not support access keys.
- The token check now works correctly with tagged texts.
- The display of source text differences is now correct for multiline texts.
- Preview when updating string lists works again
- Automatic translated texts with a match rate under 100% are not used as source for automatic translations

Automation:

- The call to PslSourceLists.Remove could crash. This bug has been fixed.
- PslProject.Close has not saved the project data under some conditions. This bug has been fixed.
- New method PslProject.IsTransBundle


Text File Parser

Enhancements:

- A used rule is stored to the project, so that an update will work, even if the rule is missing.

Bug fixes:

- Under rare conditions the parsing of large text files could crash.


XML Parser

Bug fixes:

- Changes to XML rules, callled via the Properties of the source list are not saved. This bug was fixed.
- Entries with invalid language have not been ignored but processed with the latest valid language. Fixed.

- Content of elements with more than 20k characters caused a buffer overflow. Fixed.
- Empty namespaces not needed will be avoided.


.NET Parser

The new features:

- Controls which cannot be displayed in a dialog will display a tooltip help with information about why the control is not displayed.

Enhancements:

- Tab property will be extracted and can be changed by the localizer


Bug fixes:

- More IL commands have been added to the analysis process
- Other minor bug fixes
- Error in the check functions have been fixed.
- The tooltip helpstrings for menus will now be extracted
- Handling of default properties is supported for Framework 2 and higher. For Generate Target the Framework was not checked.
- PASSOLO was not able to determine the source Framework for resx files which didn't contain typed data (just strings).
- Languages with region information de-DE have not been evaluated correctly because '_' was assumed as delimiter and not '-'


Java Parser

Bug fixes:

- The tag of code in class files can be "Code" but also "Codice" if an 'Italian' compiler has been used to generate the code. Fixed.


HTML Parser

Bug fixes:

- The HTML parser can now always be loaded, if PASSOLO is externally automated.
- When aligning HTML files with missing coding information, a Windows ANSI coding according to the target language of the project is assumed.
- ISO or Windows encoding information will now be written. Meta Tag "Content-Language" will now be modified to ensure correct display of the target file.
- Target Encoding has not been written correctly for codepage-encoded files.


Delphi Parser

Bug fixes:

- The algorithms to detect inherited dialogs doesn't work for some dialogs. This bug was fixed.
- During the parsing of some source files the parser stops with unknown exception. This bug was fixed.


Customizable Textexport

Bug fixes:

- When exporting file in Unicode, it was possible that the last 2 characters were not written in the file. This bug was fixed.


TRADOS Add-In

New features:

- When displaying fuzzy matches the name of the connection is displayed in the column Origin

Changes:

- Connections to TMs are now activated with a check box in the list of connections.

Bug fixes:

- The Login name is now correctly stored and is passed when the translation memory is opened.
