聊天 - 到美國唸書英文一定會好嗎?

這兩天有則新聞關於某人的親筆信函,評論都說是舊聞沒啥好討論,只是好奇媒體常稱他在美國取得雙法學碩士學位,英文程度很好,看到下面的原文簡直令人驚嘆不已

柏克萊加州大學和紐約大學都不是混的學校?怎會出現如此奇怪的現象?是研究所已經屬於賺錢類型比較好混?真不知他的碩士論文怎麼寫出來的?

以他的英文水準應付日常生活不會有問題,可是要在美國找法律相關工作就差太遠了

堂妹高中時移民美國,後唸完大學考取會計師證照,自問英文發音幾乎跟老美沒分別,可是工作上就與同事有點格格不入,理由是英文表達還不夠道地,別人在說俚語或雙關語笑話,他不一定聽得懂,因此,不易完全融入老美的圈子,後來利用下班時間去進修更高層次的道地美語課程....,現在已經嫁老美生小孩,也當上了會計師..
